Most of these images of boats were created in my sketchbook and based on photos I had taken in Cadiz, Spain and on Cape Cod. Many were done with colored Stabilo pens. The photo reference for the one acrylic painting “Red Boat” was taken in Getaria, Spain. One of the sketchbook paintings was done with acrylic, for another I used reverse painting on a gel-plate print of the original photograph. The photo of me looking out onto the Atlantic from the coast of Cadiz was taken by Diane Manning. We visited Cadiz in early 2025.
