For my first explorations in painting in 2016, I used watercolor and sometimes gouache. I had taken a watercolor course with Greg Decker at the Art Museum in Las Cruces, NM. I ventured into acrylic painting about 5 years later and have stuck with it. I enjoy working in series, most of which are based on photographs. For example, see the examples from the Ovine Suite in this section and the page below on “Perros y Sus Sombras.” I like exploring different iterations of a particular subject when I create a series. Of course, not every subject inspires repetition, so here you will also see singletons in a range of subjects that caught my eye.
