This series, Perros y Sus Sombras, was inspired by the dogs I saw wandering around the plaza where I had coffee in the early morning light in Oaxaca, Mexico in January, 2023. Perro Primero is a rez dog adopted by friends who live in Ramah, NM. This painting was awarded first place in the 2024 ArtForms Members Show, held at Gallery 925, as a part of For Love of Art Month. All the perros are painted in acrylic and have gold frames.
